According to the creator of everyone’s loved games such as Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, 3D is no longer a jaw-dropper because it gets crowds excited but simply because it makes them yawn.
Shigeru Miyamoto was reported by Edge Magazine as saying that Nintendo no longer thought of the tridimensional effect as phenomenal or innovative, but rather a “commonplace”.
Mr Miyamoto said:
“Looking back one year, now we’ve realised that 3D vision is something more commonplace, not extraordinary, we’ve come to a more natural, easier approach…

It would seem that Nintendo will be relying on its mascot Mario to help save boost sales of the 3DS after all.
3DTVwatcher has previously reported on the speculations that this could be the gaming giant’s next move.
After a hugely successful launch, 3DS sales have fallen dramatically with only 710 000 units being sold in the last three months compared to 3.9m in February. Attempts to increase sales, such as dropping the price of the 3DS, have not been able to cause sales to jump.
“We know…

As much as it hoped, the 3DS failed to entice customers. It has also seen disappointing sales and consequently the company will slash its prices in August.
“But why didn’t people adore the 3DS,” Nintendo perhaps has asked itself.
Well Nintendo, many people felt that there were not enough games to play and others have complained they suffered from headaches and nausea after gaming.
Or maybe people are simply sick of 3D and they are all suffering from the overkill syndrome.
Perhaps it can collaborate with Apple as it…

Nintendo has acknowledged that perhaps the 3D function of the 3DS may not always be a useful technology.
Since the Nintendo 3DS hit the shelves back in March, gamers have been struggling with the glasses-free 3D technology.
The 3DS is notoriously difficult to position as the format only works within a narrow view range, resulting in blurry or doubled images.
Now, to fuel the fire Nintendo’s chief game maker, and creator of Super Marion, Shigeru Miyamoto has admitted that sometimes gamers will prefer to play a game in…

It seems Nintendo has had its 3D fill with the 3DS, as news is breaking that the successor to the Nintendo Wii will not be a 3D gaming console.
Gaming is one area where 3D is really taking off, and where developers are pumping investment into, however it seems Nintendo intends to leave 3D to the likes of Microsoft and Sony where non-portable consoles are concerned.
The console looks set to be released in at least one year from now, despite mumblings that Nintendo could release…

You’ll get square eyes is a common deterrent used by parents worried their children are watching too much television, and although Nintendo has refuted claims its new portable console, the 3DS, is bad for your eyes, it is facing fresh criticism.
Many 3DS users are complaining of feeling sick when using the console, which can play 3D content without the need for glasses, due to the intensity of the 3D images. Apparently.
By the explicitly cynical use of ‘apparently’ we mean, according to The Sun, the most reputable…
