If there is any tech giant that you want to take tips on slimming down from, it might as well be LG which has announced a new range of 1mm thin bezel 3D TVs.

These have been displayed along with the firm’s freshest 3D cinema displays during the annual CES 2012 show.

Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company, was quoted as saying:

“The 3D experience is still evolving and we at LG intend to push the limits of what 3D can deliver.

“With our 2012 Cinema 3D Smart TVs, we have been able to take a significant step forward, thanks to a series of new and upgraded 3D features led by the Cinema Screen design.”

The tech giant also said that it’s not only the features that needed improvement in the 3D TV world but also the aesthetic, which is increasingly important to consumers these days.

3DTVwatcher cannot disagree – we would quite like to have slim and attractive 3D TV sets in our living rooms. It would make us feel pretty too.

But it’s not only 3D TVs that got the ultimate revamp – the company’s 3D specs too have been treated to a makeover.

Eyewear expert Alain Mikli has designed a more comfortable and modern version of the tridimensional specs.

“(Compared to active shutter glasses) LG’s 3D glasses are far more comfortable to wear and much more affordable, making it possible for large groups and entire families to watch 3D programs and movies together,” Mr Kwon said.
