The ‘Princess of Pop’ is set to grace 3D TVs across the land in June for those with a penchant for popular music and Sky 3D.

Minogue’s latest tour, Aphrodite Les Folies, enjoyed its final night at London’s O2 arena last week but was captured in glorious 3D for those who couldn’t make it, or who would rather enjoy the Australian singer’s talents in the comfort of their own home.

The performance will air on June 19th this year on Sky 3D, and Minogue effused about the tour and the 3D recording:

“I’m so proud of this tour, everyone has pulled out the stops to give my fans a truly unique concert experience. So I’m excited we have been able to use the power of 3D TV to give audiences at home the chance to get a front row experience.

The show featured a heart shaped stage, aww, and an elaborate set of over a million moving parts (not glitter).

Like Peter Gabriel’s recent announcement of his own 3D live performance, Minogue’s certainly seems to have been a worthy 3D capture for the broadcaster.

Channel Director of Sky3D,John Cassy, said:

“If ever a show was made for 3D it is Aphrodite Les Folies. From the costumers to the choreographer and the fountains to the flying angel, Kylie has excelled herself.

“Fans of Kylie are in for a treat it will feel as if the concert is taking place in their living rooms!”
