Sky, the first company to cook up a 3D TV channel in the UK, has announced a nifty competition for its new and existing customers.
Via the contest, Sky aims not only to raise awareness about the Digital Switchover but also to reward its customers.

We might as well admit it, we had a feeling this was coming – lucky 3D TV owners will be able to view some parts of the London 2012 Olympics in the crystal clear tridimensional format.
It was the BBC’s director of the London games, Roger Mosey, who spilled the beans saying that the opening and closing ceremonies, daily sporting highlights and a few other live broadcasts will be aired in 3D.

Good news comes to the Middle East as Abu Dhabi based channel, YahLive, pens papers with High TV 3D in order to provide tridimensional entertainment all day every day.

The US will soon be able to get 3D on demand as Sensio Technologies will help to add this capability in the coming spring.

The next country to give a 3D TV channel a go seems to be Sweden, as HIGH TV 3D continues its growth in Europe.

Some of you might remember that China has been very keen on launching a 3D TV channel – a plan which has become a reality.
As a quick reminder, the channel will broadcast almost everything in 3D, including the 2012 Olympic Games in London, films, cartoons, soap operas, news as well as sports.
