Kate Winslet has revealed that she has seen some footage from the new 3D rendering of Titanic and is “excited” for its release.

Filmmaker Martin Scorsese called for old classic 3D movies to be restored into Blu-ray at the International 3D Creative Arts Awards.
While speaking at the awards he said that while making his film Hugo, he and his team looked over many old 3D classic movies as inspiration for the film.

We all remember Stephen Spielberg being keen on giving the first part of his Jurassic Park trilogy the tridimensional treatment, however his latest film, War Horse, was simply not meant to be in 3D, the director suggested.

Better days have come to 3D offerings, at least according to Cineworld Group, who said that its box-office take up has gone up in the final quarter of 2011 bringing in some much needed cash.

Guess who thinks that 3D is merely a “new toy”? Filmaker, Brad Bird, also known as the director of Mission:Impossible Ghost Protocol.
