A prototype of the world’s first glasses-free 3D tablet went on display at CTIA Wireless 2012 convention in New Orleans this week.
The prototype, which was developed by Qualcomm, features auto stereoscopic 3D (similar to the Nintendo 3DS) and contains a Snapdragon S4 mobile processor.
This feature allows 1080p HD 3D feedback as well as real time 2D to 3D conversion. The purpose of the tablet was to show off the capabilities of the Snapdragon S4 chip and its processor.

Will the next iPhone have a camera that can take 3D stills, videos and even 3D images that you can rotate?
A patent dug up by Patently Apple shows a design involving two cameras and an imaging processing unit, which will allow users to take 3D images.
