Nintendo said that it will be adding a new feature to its next 3DS. The feature is question is none other than video capture.
In their latest firmware update for the 3DS, Nintendo will not only upgrade existing 3D features and improve performance, but will also be adding 3D video capture to the handheld’s capabilities.
The 3DS has been able to take photos in 3D since its release and this new feature will be available for free to all users.
The update will also improve the eShop and transfer systems after several complaints that newly purchased games from the eShop tended to be tied to a console instead of the consumer.
Users will now be able to tie games to their accounts instead of to the consoles, allowing them to transfer titles between devices.
Nintendo will also be laying down the groundwork to enable companies to release demos of games. This has come about after Capcom announced plans to run trial versions of its game Monster Hunter 3G using the 3DS in the future.
3DS users should get an automatic notification over the next few days when it is available, if not, updates can be forced through the 3DS’ settings.
