3DTVWatcher is an independent blog that is run by staff at Simplifydigital.co.uk a UK comparison and switching service for broadband, TV and home phone. This particular blog is the brain-child of Ionut Nicolae, a gadget and technology uber nerd who works for us in our Hammersmith office. Ionut is passionate about most things that have an electrical pulse (even more so when they’re made by Apple) so we’ve given him access to our Linux box along with a copy of WordPress and given him carte-blanche to get on with it. No man is an island though, so opinions here are contributed by other staff writers including Geoff Slaughter, Chris Mizon and Charles “Charlie” Ponsonby, and we’ll be trying out some guest writers in the near future, so you can have your say.
Why are we doing this and who are Simplifydigital.co.uk?
We hope to add a clear voice into the world of 3D TV as it’s becoming more and more crowded with PR spin from TV manufacturers, broadcasters and dare we say, Hollywood studios. We don’t have a particular axe to grind (it’s not us against the world or anything like that), more that we know 3DTV is creeping into the home and as we all like to make good choices when we crack open our increasingly sparse-looking wallets, who better to chip into the conversation than the friendly experts at Simplifydigital?
