3DTVwatcher tries on Premium Polaroid 3D Glasses

3DTVWatcher in 3D Polaroid Glasses

If you open 3DTVwatcher’s drawer – you’ll probably find a whole array of 3D glasses carefully segregated by brand.

All right, maybe we lied but we quite like the artistic mess in (and on) our desks but at least we can always find the pair we are looking for.

Thankfully, we didn’t even need to search for this pair, as it just stands out from all the rest.

When we at 3DTVwatcher first got our hands on Polaroid’s 1 VIP N8103A model, we were smitten with the quality. Watching a 3D movie or not, one can see absolutely everything smoothly through the lens, something that not all 3D glasses makers can boast about.

Almost weightless, these passive 3D Polaroids come in different shapes and sizes, even your kids can have a pair of their own, 3DTVwatcher finds the pink Junior Girl model absolutely adorable.

While some keen 3D fanatics are already saving up to buy Gucci or Armani 3D glasses, or more recently those designed by Giles Deacon, Polaroid’s 3D models are a more affordable option, with the most expensive pair setting customers back under £35.

We at 3DTVwatcher like to think that we are fashion-forward and take this opportunity to ask Santa for a few pairs of Polaroid 3D glasses, mainly Star, Celeb and Coolio. Just for the names.

so, this being a 3D TV site, how many of us will have any interest in passive glasses?

    • Those, who have a 3D TV which requires passive 3D glasses for instance.
Moreover, 3DTVwatcher loves on all things 3D. We’re quite fanatical in fact.

Hi Alan. LG is taking a lot of TV market share with its passive pattern retarder technology – they are growing faster than any other brand in 3D. You can use the same LG glasses (or our Polaroid ones) for RealD and Masterimage cinema films as well as the TV. There is a wave of passive TVs coming in the next weeks and months under several brands – plus laptops which will use the same glasses.

Hi. Thanks for the positive review. We are getting a lot of comliments on this range and we are very happy that you liked them. We have made a real effort to make the product accessible price-wise, despite the cost of the special lens-forming technology that allows us to curve the lenses without loss of 3D performance. Curving the lenses means you get far fewer reflections on the back surface versus products with a flat lens.
